  • How do I book a space on M8share?

    Browse our collection of rooms, parking, storage and restaurants across the British Isles here. When you find the right space for you (and your loved ones), you can book directly on our site. Except for restaurants, where you will be transferred to book directly with the restaurant of your choosing. If you are stuck for ideas, take a look at the featured listings on our homepage.

  • Where are M8share spaces located?

    You’ll find spaces in different regions across the British Isles, mostly in the major cities, and the first part of the postcode is visible to help you navigate the different space types available. We started in London, as this is where we grew up! You can find out more about our story and the small team behind M8share on our About page.

  • Can I book more than one space together?

    Yes, you can book more than one space from the same Host, including different categories. For example, two spare rooms for accommodation or one parking space and one storage space. Restaurants are the only exception, as they are booked directly with the Host on their website.

  • What is a booking request?

    A booking request is an enquiry to book and use the space you’re interested in. When you send a request for a listing that is available that you are interested in and payment is processed by the payment manager, the host is alerted that the space is booked for the specific time frame.

  • What do I need to do before I use a space?

    Before your booking is confirmed there are some steps you will need to have completed before confirmation. These include: 

    Paying for the deposit or cleaning fee ( if applicable) 

    Signing our booking terms

    The host has provided information on how to access the space so make sure to read that

    For parking, before using the space, ensure that you have any necessary permits to safely park your vehicle in the space

  • I only want the parking space for a month, what should I do?

    There are a couple of ways to book a parking space for a month. You can use the hourly/daily option to book for a fixed month-long period, or simply book a monthly reservation



  • How much is a storage space?

    The amount to be paid for a storage space is dependent on the amount set by the host. You can browse different spaces and compare prices

  • Who do I contact if my items are damaged?

  • Do I need to provide any proof of my booking?

    There is no requirement to show any proof of your booking during the rental period. However, for parking space, some spaces require you to display a permit. If that's the case, you will need to display a permit during this time. Remember to check the listing details, or contact the Host directly, to determine whether a parking permit is needed and how to display it correctly on your vehicle.

  • Can I pay in cash?


     There are no circumstances where cash exchanges or bank transfers should take place outside of M8share. All transactions and payments must take place through M8share in order to ensure that both parties are protected through our Booking Terms and have a record of accurate invoices.



  • What payment methods do you accept?

    All  payments are made through our payment manager.

  • What is hourly or daily parking?

    Some parking spaces can be booked on an hourly/daily basis, with a minimum booking time of 1 hour. Hourly and daily bookings come with a fixed end time, so they’re an ideal short-term parking option.

  • What is monthly parking?

    Booking monthly parking is ideal for your longer-term parking needs. Monthly bookings have no fixed end date and instead continue on a monthly-rolling basis until notice is served by either yourself or the Host.

  • What time do storage spaces close?

    This will depend on what type of space you book. Some spaces may have set opening times, while others will offer 24-hour access. The access hours of each space will be detailed within the listing.



  • Are there additional fees for hourly/daily parking?

    No! All the fees payable for the parking space are displayed on each listing. You will also see a total of how much you will be charged when you confirm the start and end date, or the time for your booking.



  • Are containers good for storage?

    Yes! Shipping containers are perfect for dry and secure storage. You can browse M8share for shipping containers for rent

  • Are storage spaces open on a Sunday?

    This will depend on what type of space you book. Some spaces may have opening times, whilst others will have 24-hour access, 7 days a week. The access hours of each space will be detailed within the listing.

  • Can I store a vehicle in a storage space?

    Yes! You’ll just need to double check that the space is suitable



  • Can I leave my car in the space overnight?

    Unless the Host or listing says otherwise, the space will be yours for the duration of your booking. However, if you do need to stay overnight, it’s best to double check that this will be OK before you book.
