  • Do I have to pay tax on my earnings?

    You have to pay tax on any earnings above £1,000 per year, in line with government policy.

  • Can I receive payments in cash?

    No. There are no circumstances where cash exchanges or bank transfers should take place between a Guest and Host. All transactions and payments must take place through M8share to ensure that both parties are protected by our Booking Terms and have an accurate record of invoices. If a Renter requests to pay in cash, you must not accept this and should report the issue to us via our Contact Us page.

  • Can I receive an invoice for my payouts?

    Invoices are automatically generated for all your payouts, which you will be able to view and download directly from your account. 



  • Can I see a summary of my payouts?

    You can find a summary of all payouts in your dashboard. Once logged in, click Withdraw your earnings. There you will see an itemised breakdown of all payouts, including downloadable PDF invoices.

  • What happens if a guest doesn’t pay?

     If the Guest fails to pay any Fees on their due date, the Company or the Host may deny him/her access to the Listing Address or Storage / Parking Space, and may move the Stored Goods at its discretion. If the amount due is not paid in full within 30 days, the Company may issue a written notice to the Guest (at the email or postal address given on the Booking Agreement) of the Company or Host's intention to sell the Goods within 10 days. If the amount due is not paid in full after an additional 10-day period, the Guest agrees that the Company or Host may sell the Stored Goods and set the proceeds of this sale against the amount due to our Terms and Conditions. Any shortfall will continue to be owed by the Guest. If the Company or Host is unable to sell the Stored Goods within 60 days of the date upon which the outstanding amount became due, and that amount or any part of it remains outstanding, the Guest agrees that the Company or Host may dispose of the Stored Goods as the Company or Host sees fit.


  • How do I manage multiple spaces effectively on M8share?

    M8share provides a streamlined interface for hosts with multiple spaces. You can easily switch between listings, manage bookings, and update each space’s availability from your dashboard. Staying organized and frequently updating your calendar can help ensure smooth operations.




  • Can I customize settings for each space separately?

    Yes, each space on M8share can be managed with unique settings. You can tailor details like pricing, availability, and specific guidelines to each listing based on its features and location.



  • How do I handle multiple bookings for different spaces at the same time?

    With M8share’s booking management system, you can view and organize bookings for all your spaces in one place. This allows you to keep track of each reservation and avoid scheduling conflicts, ensuring a seamless experience for both you and your guests.



  • What are some best practices for communicating with guests across different spaces?

    Consistent and timely communication is key. Create templated messages that cover common questions and adjust them for each space as needed. M8share’s messaging feature makes it easy to communicate directly with guests and keep conversations organized.



  • Are there tools to help me track income from multiple spaces?

    Yes, M8share provides financial tracking for each of your spaces, helping you monitor income, expenses, and overall performance. You can access detailed reports to analyze the profitability of each space.

  • How can I optimize pricing across different spaces?

    M8share allows you to set custom pricing for each space based on factors like location, amenities, and demand. Consider adjusting prices seasonally or based on occupancy trends to maximize income across your portfolio.



  • What should I do if I receive a complaint from a guest?

    Address each complaint promptly. Listen to the guest’s concerns, provide a solution where possible, and take steps to prevent similar issues in the future. M8share’s support team is also available to help mediate if needed.



  • How do I manage cleaning and maintenance for multiple spaces?
